Since graduating from NYU with a BFA in Drama in May of 2023, Annika:

Produced and performed in the Premiere Concert of ROSIE: A New Musical, her new show inspired by Rosie the Riveter, at 54 Below on March 31st, 2024.
Appeared in Scott Seigel’s “Broadway’s Next Generation” concert at 54 Below in August, and in “54 Sings Broadway’s Greatest Hits” in October, February, and coming up this July.
Played a Principal Role in a Workshop Production of a new Andrew Lippa Revue.
Starred in Heavy Heaven by Yejune Kim at the New York Theatre Festival, and was nominated for Best Singer.
Performed multiple times at Green Room 42 and at Don’t Tell Mama in cabarets and new work.

Acting

While studying at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Annika performed in shows with the New Studio on Broadway and Stella Adler School of Acting. Recent credits include Heavy Heaven (Principal, New York Theatre Festival), Bandstand (Mrs. Adams), Stage Door (Judith, Pat), Legally Blonde (Kate, u/s Vivienne), Head over Heels (Ensemble, u/s Pamela), and Mary Page Marlowe (Mary Page, Roberta).

Annika is a musical theatre writer, having completed the book/music/lyrics for her first full length musical in her Senior Year of High School. As a female writer entering an industry with a primarily male legacy, Annika recognizes the importance of telling stories about real and complex women, and plans to use her voice to do that, as much as she can. During her time at NYU and beyond, she has been working on a musical based on the Rosie the Riveter propaganda of World War II, examined through a modern feminist lens.
